Rabbi Yossef Alcabes

Rabbi Alcabes was born and raised in Queens, New York. He was ordained as a rabbi by the Rabbinical Seminary of America. He also is a graduate of the Merkaz Teachers Institute as well as the Gott Learning Teachers Program.

Prior to relocating to Las Vegas, Rabbi Alcabes taught the seventh grade at Yeshiva Tiferes Moshe in New York.He also served as assistant Rabbi at Congregation Mekor Habracha. Currently, in addition to teaching various Chumash and Halacha classes at the Mesivta, Rabbi Alcabes is a beloved Judaics teacher at the yeshiva Day School of Las Vegas.

Rabbi Alcabes’ main goal during his classes is to demonstrate how Torah is practical and relevant to his students.
